Drywall & Interior Repairs
Leak-damaged ceilings and walls, repaired and finished so you can’t tell.
Interior damage is usually the last step of a longer story: a leak, a settling crack, a doorknob through the wall. The fix only lasts if the story is understood first.
We find the cause, repair only what’s damaged, and finish the work so it blends into the room. Our trade partners handle the drywall, texture and paint as one clean job.
When it’s time
- Brown or yellow water stains on a ceiling or wall.
- Drywall that sags, bubbles or feels soft when pressed.
- Cracks that keep coming back at corners, doors or windows.
- Holes, dents or old patches that never quite blended in.
When you don’t: A dry, old stain on solid drywall can often be sealed and painted. Not every stain means the board has to come out.
How we do it
Confirm the source of any leak is fixed before repairing the drywall.
Check moisture and cut out only the board that is damaged.
Match the existing texture — knockdown, orange peel or smooth.
Prime and paint so the repair disappears into the room.
Good to know
Stop the water first
Repairing drywall before the leak is fixed just means doing it twice. We trace the source and make sure it’s handled before patching.
Wet insulation
When a ceiling gets wet, the insulation above it often does too. Wet insulation loses its value and can hold moisture, so we check it when we open a ceiling.
Texture matching
Most Central Texas homes have knockdown or orange-peel texture. Matching it well is the difference between a patch you see every day and one you forget about.
What hail and wind do
When wind or hail lets water into the attic or walls, the damage often shows up inside as stained, sagging or cracked drywall. If storm damage is found, it may be covered depending on your policy. Your insurance company makes that decision.
Questions
Do I need to replace drywall after a leak?
Not always. If the drywall dried quickly and is still firm, it can often be sealed with a stain-blocking primer and painted. If it sagged, crumbled or stayed wet, it should be cut out and replaced. We check moisture and firmness before recommending either.
Can you match my ceiling texture?
Yes. Our trade partners match common textures like knockdown, orange peel and smooth finishes, and blend the repair into the surrounding ceiling. Older or unusual textures can take more care, and we’ll tell you up front if a perfect match isn’t realistic.
What about mold behind the drywall?
If we find signs of mold while opening a wall or ceiling, we stop and show you. Small areas can be handled during the repair. Larger growth should be evaluated and remediated by a mold specialist before rebuilding, and we can bring in a qualified partner.
